VENNOR Streak Competition Rules
1. About These Rules and the Promoter
Last updated: 16 June 2026 | Version: 1.0.0
These rules (the "Rules") govern the VENNOR Streak Competition (the "Competition"), a promotional competition conducted under section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA") read with Regulation 11 to that Act.
The promoter is Vennor (Pty) Ltd ("Vennor", "we", "us" or "our"), a private company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa with company registration number 2024/814236/07 and registered office at KWAMAGWAZA MISSION, MELMOTH, KWAZULU-NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA, 3835 (the "Promoter").
These Rules are available free of charge at all times on https://vennor.co.za/legal/competition and inside the VENNOR apps. You may request a copy at no cost by emailing competitions@vennor.co.za.
By entering or participating in the Competition, you (the "Entrant" or "you") confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Rules, by our Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not participate.
2. Definitions
In these Rules, unless the context indicates otherwise:
- "Competition Day" means each calendar day (South African Standard Time) on which the Competition runs.
- "Streak Partner" means another VENNOR student with whom you are paired through the Streak Sprint feature; you may have only one active Streak Partner at a time.
- "Pair" means you together with your current Streak Partner.
- "Qualifying Activity" means completing at least one quiz or exam on the VENNOR Platform on a Competition Day.
- "Pair Score" means the score described in the clause headed "How Winners Are Determined".
- "Prize" means an Uber Eats voucher awarded under these Rules.
- "Services" or "Platform" means the VENNOR web, desktop and mobile apps and related services.
Words not defined here have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Service.
3. Competition Period
The Competition runs on a daily basis. Each Competition Day is a separate competition with its own qualification and standings.
The Promoter may start, pause, shorten, extend, change or end the Competition (or any Competition Day), and may change the Prize on offer, at any time and in its sole discretion, subject to applicable law. Where reasonably practicable, we will publish any material change to these Rules on https://vennor.co.za/legal/competition before it takes effect. Changes do not affect a Prize already validly awarded and claimed.
4. Who Can Enter
To be eligible to enter, you must:
- be a registered VENNOR student with an account in good standing;
- have an active Streak Partner (be part of a Pair) on the relevant Competition Day; and
- comply with these Rules, our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
Age
Prizes are awarded to Entrants who are 18 years or older. Where an otherwise-eligible Entrant is aged 13 to 17, any Prize will be awarded to, and must be claimed by, that Entrant's parent or legal guardian on the Entrant's behalf, and the guardian's acceptance of these Rules is required. We may require proof of age and of guardian consent before awarding or releasing a Prize.
Exclusions
The following persons may not win a Prize: directors, employees, officers, agents and consultants of the Promoter and of any company in its group, the suppliers of goods or services in connection with the Competition, and the spouses, life partners, immediate family members and household members of any of them (as contemplated in Regulation 11). Anyone who manipulates or attempts to manipulate the Competition is also excluded.
5. No Purchase Necessary
No purchase or payment of any consideration is required to enter or to have a chance of winning, beyond the ordinary cost (if any) of accessing the free Services and the data or internet connectivity you choose to use, which remains your own responsibility. This is consistent with section 36 of the CPA.
Holding a Paid Plan (such as Exam Pro or Semester Master) is not required to enter the Competition and does not increase your chance of winning. Any voucher, prize or benefit you receive as part of a Paid Plan is separate from this Competition.
6. How to Enter and Qualify
Entry is automatic and free. On any Competition Day, your Pair qualifies when you (and, for pair-based standings, your Streak Partner) complete a Qualifying Activity - that is, you each complete at least one quiz or exam on the Platform that day.
No separate registration, code or submission is needed. By using the Streak Sprint feature and completing a Qualifying Activity, you enter that Competition Day. Only activity recorded by the Platform's own tracking counts, and the Promoter's records of your activity are final for the purpose of determining qualification.
7. How Winners Are Determined
For each Competition Day, the Promoter calculates a Pair Score for qualifying Pairs. The Pair Score is a blend of:
- 85% - the Pair's average quiz/exam percentage for that day; and
- 15% - the Pair's study hours for that day.
Pairs are ranked by Pair Score, highest first. The Promoter determines the standings using its own records and may, in its sole and reasonable discretion, award Prizes to one or more of the top-ranked Pairs and/or make additional discretionary or promotional awards to recognise participation, effort or other criteria it considers appropriate.
The Promoter's determination of qualification, scoring, ranking and the winners is final. Save as required by law or by these Rules, no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome. Winning is not guaranteed by achieving any particular score; the Promoter is not obliged to award a Prize on every Competition Day.
8. Fair Play, Verification and Disqualification
The Competition rewards genuine study. The Promoter may verify any Entrant's eligibility, identity and activity at any time, and may withhold a Prize pending verification.
The Promoter may disqualify any Entrant or Pair, withdraw or reclaim a Prize, and suspend or close an account, where it reasonably believes that the Entrant has:
- used automation, bots, scripts, multiple or fake accounts, or shared/borrowed accounts;
- colluded with others, exchanged answers, or otherwise gamed the scoring;
- tampered with the Platform, its tracking, or these Rules; or
- breached these Rules, the Terms of Service, or the law.
The Promoter's decision on any question of integrity or disqualification is final.
9. The Prize
Each Prize is an Uber Eats voucher with a Rand value determined by the Promoter for the relevant award (typically R[prize value]), issued as a redemption code.
Unless we state otherwise at the time of the award:
- the Prize is non-transferable and may not be sold, exchanged or assigned;
- there is no cash alternative and the Prize cannot be redeemed for cash;
- the Prize is awarded "as is" and is subject to Uber Eats' own terms, conditions, availability and expiry, over which the Promoter has no control; and
- if a stated Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value.
The number and value of Prizes available on any Competition Day are at the Promoter's discretion and may be limited.
10. Uber Eats Is Not a Sponsor
Uber, Uber Eats and their related entities are not sponsors of, are not affiliated with, do not administer, and are not associated with this Competition in any way, and bear no responsibility for it. All Uber and Uber Eats names, trademarks, logos and service marks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe the Prize. Any questions, comments or complaints about the Competition must be directed to the Promoter and not to Uber or Uber Eats. Use of an Uber Eats voucher is governed solely by Uber Eats' own terms.
11. Notification and Claiming Your Prize
If you win, the Promoter will notify you through an in-app notification and/or an email to the address on your account, normally within a reasonable time after the relevant Competition Day. It is your responsibility to keep your contact details current and to check your notifications and email (including spam folders).
To claim a Prize you may be required to verify your identity and eligibility and, where applicable, provide guardian consent. You must claim a Prize within the claim window stated in the notification (and any Uber Eats voucher must be redeemed before its expiry date).
If a winner cannot be contacted or verified, declines the Prize, is found to be ineligible or disqualified, or does not claim or redeem the Prize within the applicable window, the Prize is forfeited. The Promoter may then award it to another eligible Entrant or not award it at all, at its discretion. Unclaimed or expired vouchers have no value and will not be re-issued.
12. Limits on Prizes
The Promoter may set and apply reasonable limits on Prizes, including a maximum number or value of Prizes that any Entrant, Pair, household or account may win in a given period. The Promoter may decline to award further Prizes once any such limit is reached. These limits exist to keep the Competition fair across all participants.
13. Personal Information (POPIA)
The Promoter processes your personal information in connection with the Competition in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and our Privacy Policy. We use it to administer the Competition, verify eligibility, determine and contact winners, deliver and account for Prizes, and meet our legal obligations.
By entering, you agree that, if you win, the Promoter may publish your first name and the first letter of your surname (and your institution or city, if relevant) to announce results, as contemplated in Regulation 11, and may ask you to take part in reasonable, related publicity. Your participation in publicity beyond a basic results announcement is voluntary and requires your consent, and a refusal to take part in optional publicity will not, on its own, disqualify you. You may exercise your POPIA rights (including access, correction, objection and complaint to the Information Regulator) as set out in our Privacy Policy.
14. Tax
Any tax that may arise from receiving or using a Prize is the sole responsibility of the winner (or, for a minor, the winner's parent or guardian). The Promoter does not provide tax advice; if you are uncertain about your tax position, you should consult your own advisor or the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
15. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer's rights under the CPA that cannot lawfully be excluded:
- the Prize is provided "voetstoots" / "as is" and the Promoter gives no warranty in respect of it;
- the Promoter is not liable for the Uber Eats platform, for any voucher that is lost, stolen, delayed, declined, expired or unusable for reasons beyond the Promoter's control, or for any act or omission of Uber Eats or any third party;
- the Promoter is not liable for any failure, delay, error or interruption in the Platform, in connectivity, or in the recording of activity, or for entries that are not received, recorded or processed; and
- the Promoter, its directors, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the Competition or any Prize.
Nothing in these Rules excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
16. General and Amendment of the Rules
These Rules constitute the full terms of the Competition. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The Promoter's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
The Promoter may amend these Rules at any time, subject to applicable law, by publishing the updated Rules at https://vennor.co.za/legal/competition. The current version of the Rules, and the full Rules, are always available there and in the app free of charge. Your continued participation after a change takes effect means you accept the amended Rules.
17. Governing Law and Complaints
These Rules and the Competition are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
If you have a complaint about the Competition, please first contact us at competitions@vennor.co.za so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right, under the CPA, to refer a complaint to the National Consumer Commission or to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, or to approach the appropriate court or tribunal.
